I think it is important for any woman to know that every month, each of us goes through a natural cycle, in which some of us may experience what they call the Pre Menstruation Syndrome. Not that I am judging this as a dissease, but just to keep in mind, that sometimes every month, we have to limit our actions more, because maybe its not what we really feel, maybe its our hormons working for us.

I have gathered some information about PMS, on which I think each of us should google themselves, since the information I’ve gathered are quite limited, and unfinished.

PMS is a collection of symptoms.but the three most prominent symptoms are irritability, tension, and dysphoria (unhappiness). The exact symptoms and their intensity vary from woman to womanMost women with premenstrual syndrome experience only a few of the problems. The following symptoms can also be attributed to PMS:

  • Abdominal bloating
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Breast tenderness or swelling
  • Stress or anxiety
  • Trouble falling asleep (insomnia)
  • Joint or muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Acne
  • Mood swings
  • Worsening of existing skin disorders, and respiratory or eye  problems
  • Treatment:

aerobic exercise has been found in some studies to be helpful

Some PMS symptoms may be relieved by leading a healthy lifestyle: Reduction of caffeine, sugar, and sodium intake and increase of fiber, and adequate rest and sleep

Dietary intervention studies indicate that calcium supplementation (1200 mg/d) may be useful. Also vitamin E (400 IU/d) has shown some effectiveness. so doesVitamin B6, magnesium, manganese and tryptophan

I hope that in the future we all will pay extra attention towards PMS, because sometimes, when we let our hormons talk for us, we spend too much time repairing the damage it has done.
